Cat crash lands in Hawaii

OK, so that may be a bit of stretch but something happened! We love plumerias. We name them just like we name the stray cats. You have to call them something. We have a new small one in the back yard that Jenna gave me last year. It is planted and only about 2 feet tall and had a Y shape to it’s limbs. I call it Hawaii because Twiggy likes to sit under it and it looks like a palm tree. It really does look like she is relaxing out on her own little island.

My Hawaiian Island sits right next to the Cat Freeway and I think someone missed their off ramp and crashed down onto Hawaii. I woke up to find it in 2 pieces and leaves laying around. It was sad. Jenna helped me to “prep” the broken piece to be planted as this is her expertise. It is in the ground and so far so good but only time will tell if it will survive.

Now it is possible that Twursula is to blame. She might have been trying to scale the fence and didn’t quite make it and crash landed. Twursula has been putting on a few extra pounds over the last year. Jenna blames it on the fact that I feed the cats dry food with “tuna juice” on it 5 days a week. But we have noticed Twursula not quite making the climb a couple of times lately and that doggy door is getting to be a tight squeeze. I’ve seen her slip a couple of time trying to scale the fence. But for the moment we’re going to blame this on one of the neighbor cats. Surely if Twiggy or Twursula had done it they would have told me? Don’t you think?

Now we have Hawaii and the smaller island of Oahu.

  1. Sandy says:

Oh, poor Hawaii. But how nice to now have Oahu right next to it now!

  2. Absolutely wonderful story! So entertaining! I will have to read all your cat blogs over time. I feel like I already know the kitties. I also like to name things. Thank you for the delight I found!
