This is Twiggy. She is my little Tom Boy. Twiggy and her sister Twursula celebrated their 5th birthday on April 1, 2010.Twiggy is a very gentle cat unless you are a bird or a lizard because Twiggy is an amazing hunter. We have seen her stalk birds and leap and take them out in mid air. We have come home to more than our share of feathers everywhere. We do keep a bell on her collar, we try to give the birds a chance.
And then there are the lizards. We live in Southern California and we often see lizards in the backyard which is certainly better than walking into the front room and finding one staring at you. This happens because Twiggy doesn’t kill her lizards. She just plays with them and when she gets bored she walks away and forgets about them. They usually scurry off and hide only to show up when you least expect them to. My solution to this is to get an empty coffee can* and put it over the lizard until hubby gets home and removes it from the house. He’s learned not to pick them up by the tail. The tail breaks off and the lizards scurries off again to wait to surprise me again!
I have 5 years of Twiggy stories to share with you so please come back often!
*I learned this trick from daughter who usually has to do this because of dead rats. Yuk!

I guess that’s one good thing about living this far north – no lizards!
Love the kitty stories and the fun pictures!
Love you, big sister!

Sandy,
Twiggy is a very good hunter! Just glad we don’t have any of those “other” things – and you know what I mean! xoxo
