Sibling Rivalry

Animals are really no different than children, they each want to be the center of attention! Cats claim to be aloof but if you happen to even notice another cat you will get their attention. It may not always show but if you are petting another cat they notice, they watch and they plan their revenge! This morning was certainly no different.

I was just sitting here typing away when Shebee jumped up on my desk and went to sit in my window. We’ve been having some really hot weather and since it was very early I had opened the office windows to let the cool air come in before I shut the house up. Shebee was loving just sitting in the window and watching the world go by.

Then I heard Twiggy. Twiggy loves to sit outside the office under my window and cry. She just wants me to come out and play with her or rub her belly and I always oblige. Well Twiggy had seen or heard Shebee sitting in the window. Twiggy firmly believes that my desk is HER desk. She has her own blanket on my desktop where she loves to lay. Now she was sitting outside and she was not amused.

So I went out to rub her belly and to scoop her up. Shebee’s watching all this from my window and what does she do? She pushes the screen out of the window and comes bounding out. Leaving me to have to deal with getting the screen out of the flowers and back into the window.

Really girls? Can’t we just all get along?
