The Joint was a Hoppin’

Twursula Awake and OutsideThe other day Twursula came bursting through the doggy door and she had something in her mouth! After Shebee getting 3 birds last week I may have panicked and started screaming to Hubby

“She’s got something! She’s got something! Get it quick!”

She ran for my bathtub and I realized that Twursula was being true to herself and just had a grasshopper. They are her prey of choice! She loves to watch them bounce and since she was in the tub and there wouldn’t be a lot of feathers, we didn’t intervene. She played in there for the longest time and at some point wandered back to bed.

Apparently when Twursula got bored with her Hopper and went off to nap, it was because she’d lost it. It was hiding from her between my shower curtain and the liner. SOOOO when I opened the shower curtain to get out of the shower the next morning Hopper hopped out first! Much to my surprise! Much to Twiggy’s delight! She was in there for a while playing with it. Finally they both abandoned it and it came to rest on my bathroom door. I got a tissue and took it outside. I’ve really been brave this summer!

That is hilarious! You hadn’t told me this story yet, big sister! You deserve another life saving award for lucky Mr. Grasshopper. Imagine the story he will tell his buddies when he gets home! They’ll never believe it!

The only problem is, I don’t think he really lived. I noticed a few days later that he was still sitting in the same spot so I didn’t give myself an award. But I tried!
